Review of Master's Email

Title ~ Master's Email ~
by Tonya Kinzer
Published ~ 16 June 2012
Publisher ~ Swallowtail Productions LLC

My Rating ~ 5 Stars

Synopsis:

She agreed long ago to be a submissive to her Master...partly because it allows her to give up control and do what he tells her. Perhaps then her actions are not her doing, although she truly enjoys performing them.

The hidden cameras placed around the house capture her activities so he can view them at work. Some activities she's been ordered to perform and some she does as a treat for her Master while he's at the office. She can't help misbehaving in hopes of being spanked when he gets home.

Each day, she knows she has to check her email first thing in the morning. What surprise will he have for her to perform today?

My Review:

Alexis and Colt have a trusting and committed relationship. They also enjoy the misunderstood BDSM lifestyle. Alexis craves Colt's daily emails as well as his sexual fantasies and is very willing to be the proper subie....well sometimes.

Master's Email is a great short read to share with your significant other while cuddling. Trust and open communication is the key to sexual fantasies and desires. Tonya Kinzer again opens the world of soft BDSM with two new characters to enjoy and after reading Master's Email, I hope she writes more on Alexis and Colt.

Review of Reclaimed, The Fire and Ice Series

Title ~ Reclaimed ~
by Kim Faulks
Publisher ~ Kim Faulks
Published ~ 21 August 2011

My Rating ~ 4 Stars

Kim Faulks has written a powerful erotic paranormal in Reclaimed. With Vampires, D’jinns, Serpentalias and humans reincarnated, I found myself immersed from the first chapter to the end.

Natalie Sommers is a kick-ass, redhead, who works as a bodyguard. Having done two tours in Afghanistan, she knows how to fight and take care of herself. I loved how Kim portrayed Natalie. Natalie has a body to die for but also has flaws. Even the most confident of people has weaknesses and Natalie’s is; her inability to love and her fear of heights due to an incident while on tour.

Grayson, Natalie’s best friend and past lover. Grayson served in Afghanistan with Natalie and was her partner during her time with the police force. Grayson’s weakness is Natalie. I would like to get know Grayson better and hope Kim brings him back into the series.

Samuel Gaffy, Natalie’s boss, who runs the body guard company. I got the feeling Natalie owes her life to him because Sam helped her when she returned to the states. He is the sensitive and solid relationship for Natalie.

Ash Alexander and Malik are two men who desire Natalie and will do everything in their power to own her.

Now this is where the story takes off. While guarding Alex, a rich client, Natalie keeps hearing a voice in her head. She is sexually attracted to Alex and tries to keep the relationship business only. But what’s a girl to do when a hot vampire gets in her mind, and mentally touches all the right places on her body?

Alex takes Natalie to a party and this is when I was really drawn in with Kim’s description of the house, the creatures and the orgy. I love dark writing. The party scene also turns the events for Natalie and she meets Malik, the D’jinn. Natalie finds out who she really is during this party and wants answers.

I’ll stop here for fear of giving spoilers, but I will say the way Kim writes; I could picture every character in my mind, feel Natalie’s emotions and the sex scenes are HOT! This was a page turner to the end. I can’t wait to read the second installment Seductive Sands.

Review of Who Would Have Thought, Men of Adonis Series

Title ~ Who Would Have Thought ~
by Trenice Carter
Publisher ~ Trenice Carter (eBook), Createspace (paperback)
Published ~ 15 June 2010

My Rating ~ 3 Stars

“Who Would Have Thought” is an intriguing novel spinning the lives of three men, Dr. Steve Kruz, Justin Brooks and Alexander Moran, who are handsome and sexy as hell, strong willed, career minded and prowlers when it comes to sex. These are the “Men of Adonis”. They are brothers, not of blood, but of the bond they formed at a very young age. The women they encounter are left with wanting more and seek these men out time and again to ride the wave of pleasure.

There are several minor characters that are woven into the story, and will become favorites of readers as are the “Men of Adonis”. We hope these characters are featured in the rest of the series.

We particularly liked when turn of events centered on Steve, Allison, Jemma and Dillon. These four characters spurred our emotions as we learned about their situations and dilemmas.
You will find raw sex, dark emotions, espionage and true friendship.

The story is fast paced and a bit choppy in areas with some grammatical errors. But as we read the story, we both agreed it is written like a movie. This book would be a good screenplay for a mini series when all installments are completed.

Review of Confessions of an Online Male Prostitute

Title ~ Confessions of an Online Male Prostitute  ~
by Peter Klein
Publisher ~ Rising Sign Books
Published ~ 6 August 2010

My Rating ~ 4 Stars

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading Confessions of an Online Male Prostitute. The title intrigued me and since I’m open-minded, and write erotica, nothing the author wrote would shock me. I was hoping for kinky and the story provides kinky scenes. But what I found as I read was a heart felt account of a man who stayed in a sexless marriage for many years, who longed for attention and who was faithful until one certain night.

John, the main character, is a very caring person. The events which lead him in his journey to find himself will have you turning the pages to find out if he does indeed find happiness.
I highly recommend reading Peter Klein’s novel, especially if you as the reader are also on an individual journey seeking the truth.
