Steve Tindle and Brenda Woody were high school friends in Georgia who reconnected, on a social network, after 30 years of leading separate lives. During their re-acquaintance, they found their past and interests were similar; they had written poems, songs, and both had the desire to be published. Their combined experiences and fantasies inspired their first erotic novel "Best Lover in Town", published June 2010.
Brenda moved to Dallas in 2009 to be closer to Steve, start a new chapter of her life and work on future books. Their second book "Temptation Triggers", an anthology of erotic short stories, was published June 2011.
If you have been here before, Welcome back. It's good to see you again!
We'll keep this short and sweet for everyone since there are so many blogs to visit. 193 authors WOW. Each author has a prize to giveaway on their blog. So many chances to win.
This past year has been really exciting for Steve & I with the releases of Black & White Affair and Triangle of Secrets, Book One. The rights to Best Lover in Town were reverted to us so we re-edited and re-released with a new cover. Steve and I moved back to Georgia this past November. It's good to be back home! Plus we have two more books to be released by Dec 31 - Rainie's Lake and Scarlett's Cowboy. And several more scheduled for 2012 - Triangle of Secrets, Book 2 & Book 3 and A Pharaoh for Layla (title pending) to name a few.
Okay we mentioned short. Before you hop to next blog here's the sweet. A recipe for Tea Balls. These are delicious. While growing up, I (Brenda) made them every year with my Mom. I hope you enjoy them too and start a new tradition. Oh wait, LOL, we forgot to say what the prize is!
Leave a comment and tell us your favorite holiday dish to eat, ie......pie, cookie, main dish and etc.... If you'd like to leave the recipe that would be cool too. Other readers can copy it. One lucky commenter will win a free copy of choice of Best Lover in Town, Triangle of Secrets, Book One - coupon from Smashwords (eBook format choice) or Temptation Triggers in PDF.
Tea Balls recipe:
1 cup butter, softened
2 1/4 cups flour, all-purpose
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups powdered sugar sifted
3/4 cup walnuts chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Position rack in center of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F.
In a large bowl combine the butter with 1/2 cup of the confectioners sugar; beat with an electric mixture until fluffy, about 1 minute.
With a spoon, stir in the vanilla, flour, salt and walnuts to form a stiff dough.
Using about 2 teaspoons of dough for each cookie, shape half the dough by rolling between hands into balls.
Place about 1 1/2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet and bake about 12 minutes, until just pale golden on the bottom.
Meanwhile, sift 1/2 cup of the remaining confectioner's sugar into a 13 by 9 inch pan.
As soon as cookies are removed from the oven, use a spatula to transfer them to the sugar, tossing them around to coat; let the cookies cool completely in the sugar and then sift 1/4 cup more sugar over them to coat.
Repeat with the remaining cookie dough, using powered sugar, divided as before, to coat.

Thank you so much for participating in this terrific contest! My favorite holiday recipe is Hereshey's Cocoa Fudge. The recipe is over a hundred years old and my family has passed it down generation to generation since it was invented. However it's very hard to get it to turn out right therefore only one person per generation ends up making it for everyone! I'm it for my generation! :-)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
